We are so excited to be housing Hillsdale County Foster Care Closet!
WHO CAN BENEFIT?
Qualifications to receive donations from the foster care closet, is to have a child who is under the jurisdiction of Hillsdale County Court. This is open to all children in foster care and their care givers, whether they are placed in a foster home, relative care giver, or if they are at home with their biological parents. They do not have to be assigned a CASA in order to come to the closet.
There will be a separate area for teens to come in and pick out their own clothes! All they have to do is make an appointment.
The formal closet will contain donations of dresses, suits, dress clothes, shoes, and jewelry for prom, home coming, snowball etc. This closet will be open to high school students in foster care. We are also hoping to work with the local high schools to identify students who may be in need of a formal outfit for these events. All of these items will be given away, free of charge.
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
If you are a foster parent, relative care giver, or bio parents who has an open case, but your child/children are living in the home with you, please contact the CASA office to make an appointment. Teens in care can also make appointments to come in and shop!
Call or Text Heather at 517-425-4145
The closet is officially open as of October 2, 2023. If you are interested in donating items to our closet, please contact the CASA office to see what we are in need of at this time. Space is limited so we can only take so much at once.
